Suggestions for purchase
Can't find it in our collection? You can submit a suggestion to the library to purchase titles.
Macquarie Regional Library members are encouraged to offer suggestions for titles to be purchased including:
- Authors or subjects of particular interest to you, and that would also appeal to other readers.
- Local authors or titles relating to our local areas of Dubbo Regional, Narromine Shire and Warrumbungle Shire Councils.
- Items published within the last five years
- DVD requests for missing items in an existing series and major literary adaptations will be considered.
- Digital titles such as eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
- If your suggestion is for a digital version of an item such as an eBook, eAudiobook or eMagazine, please note this on your request
Every suggestion is considered and decisions are made within the context of available funding and the Collection Management Policy. An item that has been ordered from a customer suggestion will appear in the catalogue usually within a month.

A reservation fee of $2.00 will apply if you answer
Yes to
Place Reservation and the item is purchased. The fee is only charged to you when the item is available for you to borrow.
Titles that are not purchased may be requested through the Inter-Library Loan Service (fees apply), provided the title requested was not recently published and is available to loan from another library service. Speak with a staff member to place an
Inter-Library Loan request or complete the Request an interlibrary loan form.
