Dubbo Library provides free, one-on-one, 45-minute tech help sessions to help improve patrons’ confidence with using technology and to further develop their digital skills.
Services Offered:
- Tech Courses: Be Connected and GCF Learn Free databases
- Mobile Printing: Assistance with using our mobile printing service
- eResources: Accessing and using library databases and apps
- Email Help: Attaching files, downloading/saving emails, printing documents
- App Assistance: Downloading, deleting, and organising apps on phones
- Phone Guidance: Sending messages, making calls, managing silent mode
- Basic Computer Guidance: basic functions, saving photos from phone, word processing
- Basic Safety and Scam Awareness: Be Connected database
Services NOT Provided:
- Passport applications, banking assistance, grant submissions, PC repairs, virus removal, device setup, advice on service providers and/or plans as well as how to answer questions on online forms.
Note: Our aim is to help patrons to the best of our abilities, however, we are not technical experts and our assistance has limits.
The program runs during the school term at the following session times:
Tuesdays 2 pm or 3 pm | Thursdays 10 am or 11 am
