These Alert Profiles allow you to decide which books, authors or subjects you want to be notified of when the Library acquires them.

The Australian Cookbook Exhibition from the State Library of New South Wales is now officially open and will run until November 9, 2009.

The exhibition shows how "A rich tradition of Australian cookery books began in the mid 1860s and has continued to the present day. From the years of abundance to the austerity of the war years, there have been books to meet every need."

WritersLINK is a workshop aimed at the professional development of regionally-based writers in regional areas and beyond.

You're invited to Macquarie Regional Library, Dubbo Branch on Thursday 3rd December2009 to join those with similar interests to discuss working across distance and isolation, storytelling, crossing the digital divide and writing for young people.

Places are limited and costs $25 per person, this includes morning tea and lunch. Participants must register with Orana Arts before Tuesday 1 December 2009.
