What is Book Week?
Each year since 1945 the Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA) has brought children and books together across Australia through CBCA Book Week.
During this time schools and public libraries spend one glorious week celebrating books and Australian children's authors and illustrators.
This year Book Week will be held from 7-27 August 2023.
Book Week - Take And Make
To celebrate Book Week we are giving you free take and make craft kits, inspired by our Book Week shortlisted titles.
Here’s how to enter:
Simply borrow any item from the library during the Book Week period to receive your exclusive craft kit.
Join us on social media starting Monday, 14th August, for our special Maker Mondays. We'll guide you through the creative process, making the crafts in your kit a delightful experience. Find us on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube, where we'll release the Maker Monday videos on:
- Monday, 14th August
- Monday, 21st August
- Monday, 28th August
Don't miss out on this enchanting opportunity! Craft kits are available from 7th to 27th August, but only while stocks last. Remember, borrowing any item from the library during Book Week allows you to claim your kit, and if you're not a member yet, worry not—membership is free!
