Aching backs and calloused hands at Dubbo

Dundullimal_MRL

Join Karen Hagan, Property Coordinator, Education and Cultural Programs for Dundullimal Homestead, as she presents a talk about life on the land at Dundullimal from 1836-1914, focusing on the lives of the people that worked there.

The Dundullimal run impacted upon hundreds of people’s lives but most of their stories have gone untold. This talk is informed by an ongoing project to find out more about the people who lived and worked at the head station. It focuses upon the craftsmen, grooms, farmhands, servants, stockmen and their families. What were their lives like? What led them to Dundullimal? What legacies have they left? The talk will share some of the fascinating information that has been unearthed.
