The History of Aboriginal Trackers on the Western Plains.
Aboriginal Trackers were a vital component of NSW Police particularly in the central-west of NSW. Wiradjuri Trackers pursued bushrangers, solved murders and found people lost in the bushland. Dr Bennett will talk in detail about some of the better known local characters, Alex Riley and Jimmy Nerang, and less well known Trackers including the two Jimmy Combos.
