Janey (Sarah Jessica Parker) is new to Chicago and soon meets Lynne (Helen Hunt), who shares her passion for dancing. Janey and Lynne are determined to audition for the show “Dance TV” but Janey’s strict and conservative father won’t let her go. Lynne talks her into sneaking out and Janey impresses the judges with her gymnastic ability and is paired up with blue-collar bad boy Jeff. Together they compete against the obnoxious rich girl Natalie who has her heart set on Jeff and winning the contest.
This quintessential 80s ‘chick flick’ is brimming with fun music, dancing galore and a stellar cast. Rated PG.
