Every school holidays Wellington Library holds a range of fun activities for children aged 5 - 12 years.

Dr Seuss Storyblock Game

Take the challenge and roll the Dr Seuss storyblocks to start your very own story! Each block has Dr Seuss character’s or scenes you must put together to come up with story. With Lorax’s, Cat’s in Hats or Green Eggs and Ham, what will your story look like?

Paper Planes Movie Screening

Twelve-year-old Dylan lives with his father in the outback region of Western Australia. One day at school Dylan discovers he is extremely good at making and flying paper planes. He quickly finds himself caught up in the world of competitive paper-plane making!

Ages 5+. Rated G. Free.

Flip Book Animated Stories

Create your very own moving story by making a ‘Flip Book’. By drawing on each page and flipping the corner of the pages really quickly you make a moving story!

Tuesday 8 October 2019, 2 - 4pm

Ages 9+. $2.05 per child.

Toonworld: Let's Get Animated!

Go animating mad! Toonworld invites you to the wonderful world of stop-motion animation. Learn simple animation hints and tips, and construct your own cool clay characters to take home and make your own movies!

Wednesday 9 October 2019, 10 - 11.30am

Ages 7-15. Free. Bookings required.

Mary Poppins Carousel

Make your very own carousel from the Mary Poppins movie. With paper, colours, scissors and glue, we will make a ride just for you! Then colour in a hot air balloon to go with your ride, and watch it come to life with augmented reality. This is a great activity for families.

Book Trailers

Just like movie trailers but for books! Using the iMovie app, create short trailers for your favourite books.
