Libraries to reopen with limited services

Macquarie Regional Library is planning a staged reopening of all branches, following closures due to COVID-19.

The following branches will open with limited lending services available and limited operating hours from the following dates:

DUBBO LIBRARY Monday 1 June 2020
11 am – 4 pm, Monday to Friday

WELLINGTON LIBRARY Tuesday 9 June 2020
10 am – 12 pm, Monday, Wednesday and Friday
2 pm – 4 pm, Tuesday and Thursday

NARROMINE LIBRARY Tuesday 9 June 2020
12 pm – 3 pm, Monday to Friday

1 pm – 4 pm, Monday to Friday

Planning for reopening all other branches is underway and dates will be released soon.

Borrowing and returning of items will be available, along with new membership registration services.

To ensure a safe customer environment, public computers, scanning, printing, photocopying, faxing, magazines, newspapers, and meeting rooms will be unavailable during the first stage of reopening. All branches will be deferring cash payments at this time.

All library programs and events remain suspended until further notice. However, you can view a range of virtual programs and events from the comfort of your home. 

Library hours will be assessed on a weekly basis and progressively increased in accordance with public health advice.

Your Online Library is always open to keep you entertained and informed.

If you are not already a member, you can join online.

Returns and Renewals

Return chutes are temporarily closed, so please keep your items at home until libraries reopen. All items will be automatically renewed.
