Storytime is a free, entertaining literacy program for children aged five years and under. The program brings books to life using puppets, songs, craft and games. Through Storytime we believe we can:

•    Develop a love of books and a lifelong use of libraries;
•    Introduce a rich diversity of literature to children and parents/carers using a variety of storytelling techniques and media;
•    Develop pre-reading skills and a desire to learn to read;
•    Develop listening and language skills;
•    Encourage co-operative behaviour;
•    Help increase attention span;
•    Inspire imagination and creativity
•    Provide social interaction and information for parents and carers
