This site has lots of great information about issues from all over the world, and is paid for by AusAID – the people who do lots of work overseas for Australia. It’s got country profiles, and lots of stuff on global issues like children’s rights, natural disasters, refugees and much more.

Penrith City Library has done some heroic work – they’ve compiled lots of websites into all different categories to make your homework a breeze!

Harvard Bibliography Reference Generator
Wow. That sounds really boring – but it’s actually a really cool tool. If you have to do an assignment and include all your references, but you’re not sure how to write them the correct way, this is the website for you. This tool takes in the raw information - author, title, year of publication - and creates the reference in the correct form.

Hot Topics
This is a great search tool if you need Australian information for an assignment. Type in your subject and hey presto, it gives you a list of related websites to surf!

This is another site that has compiled a bunch of great websites in alphabetical order. It’s got links too cool stuff the Fact Monster, Major Airline Disasters and the strangely named Straight Dope.
